Sweet Banana Roti – a simple recipe to tackle your Kid’s aversion to Bananas

Are you desperate in feeding Banana to your Kid who is extremely hating it? Here is a simple Sweet Banana Roti recipe to impress your child & save your day.

Hello Twins and Me readers, This is my first contribution to Twins & Me’s Recipe Corner. You can expect some really healthy and appetizing recipes from my kitchen, every now and then. Today’s special is a simple yet delicious ‘Sweet Banana Roti’, which is one of the favorite dishes for my kid. I would like to mention here that my girl is not a big fan of bananas.

How Sweet Banana Roti impressed my Banana hating Kid?

Now are you wondering, how a Banana hater likes this Sweet Banana Roti? That is the specialty of this dish.

We call Banana as the ‘Poor man’s fruit’, as it is easily available to everyone.

We refer it as the ‘King of all fruits’, considering the numerous health benefits it offers us.

So when my Kid was not showing interests in bananas, my worries were mounting high. I could not blame her either, as she didn’t like the mushy texture of the bananas and sometimes the scent.

She feels terrific when I insist her to eat one full banana. I didn’t want to force her, but still was looking for a way to include it in her diet. And then sprouted this Sweet Banana Roti idea. However I was not sure of her liking for it.

But to my surprise, she was impressed by this dish. Not only did she like it, but insisted me to make it again. The dominating sweetness of Jaggery and the presence of whole Wheat flour suppressed the scent and texture of the bananas.

So my joy knew no bounds and now I never worry that she is not taking bananas. Instead, this Sweet Banana Roti has become a part of our regular diet.

If your kid has an aversion to bananas, do try this recipe. There are high chances he may like it. But I leave the big decision in your court. Are you going to let your kid know there is banana in this roti or something else? 😉

I would love to hear, how this recipe worked for your kids? You can share your thoughts in the comments section.
